Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) is an MHRD and AICTE accredited university founded in 1963. MNIT secures 46th place in engineering published by NIRF 2022. MNIT Jaipur has 16 departments and associated centers in architecture, engineering and management. Primarily known for engineering, the university offers a variety of degree programs in different specializations such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and M.Plan.

Admission to these courses is based on scores obtained in entrance examinations such as JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, GATE, CMAT/CAT/MAT. Formerly known as Malaviya Regional Engineering College (MREC) Jaipur, it adopted its current name in 2002 and was recognized as an institution of national importance in 2007. History:-

Institute was established in 1963 as a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan as Malaviya Regional Technical College (MREC). It is named after Madan Mohan Malaviya. V.G.Gard was its first director. The university moved to its current campus in Jaipur in 1965.

National Institute of Technology Malaviya, Jaipur was ranked 35th among engineering colleges by the 2020 National Institutes Ranking Framework (NIRF).

Grades:-

The MNIT follows a credit-based system of grading, in which courses are weighted proportionally according to their importance.

An overall score (usually out of 100) is the basis for grading, and grade ranges are assigned grade values (out of 10). This grade range is determined by the Grade Moderation Board and is relative in nature. Students are graded each semester by forming a weighted average of all courses with their respective credit points. Each semester is individually assessed using a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), which reflects the average grade for the entire semester.

                                                  ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

MNIT ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: –

MNIT has a common visitor (the position of President of India) who is the most powerful person in the NIT organizational structure and his NIT Council with other sister NITs. sharing.

The Board is composed of members appointed by the NIT Council, Director General, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development and representatives of the Government of India.

The Director of the Institute is the Institute’s Scientific Director and Managing Director. He is assisted by the deputy director. The Deans, Deans, Presidents, Student Council Presidents, and Hall Steering Committee Chairs report to the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson.

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer and oversees day-to-day operations. He is the custodian of the Institute’s records, funds, and other property.

The Head of Department (HOD) reports to the Department (Full-time Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor). Home managers systematically report to the chair of the Home Board of Trustees.

Funding: –

Institute receives her $20 million annually from the Government of India and the World Bank. Alumni and other institutions also donate to contribute to the development of the Institute

Financial management is carried out by the Institute’s Finance Committee.

Research Policy:

The research policy of the Institute is determined by the Senate. It consists of the institute dean, all professors, directors, educators and experts. The Senate administers and approves curricula, courses, examinations, and results, and appoints commissions to review academic matters. The Institute’s teaching, training, and research activities are reviewed by the Senate to ensure that training standards are maintained. The Director is ex officio the President of the Senate.

Campus:-

MNIT’s 317-hectare campus is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) from Jaipur International Airport. Located 6 miles (10 km) from the Pink City and within walking distance of the CBD, the two campuses are frequent gateways for his MNIT students. The sprawling campus is lush green with hills outside the Aravalli Mountains. Numerous buildings and clusters form the campus. Western Department Buildings, Institutes, Club and Association Buildings, Auditorium, Bank (ICICI Bank),[23] Post Office, Canteen, Park, Auditorium, Main Building, Data Centre. To the east is the Boys Hostel, STP. There are guesthouses, staff quarters and banks (SBI, ICICI) in the north. In the center and south there are sports facilities and pharmacies.

The pharmacy is overseen by a team of medical and support staff. The Institute has a part-time Homeopathic and Ayurvedic doctor on campus. There are a total of 5 cafeterias near the teaching zone and the hostel, and there is also an amule salon.

The central dining room is run by the Akshaya Patra Foundation. On campus are his two guest houses for visitors, alumni, guests and student parents. Each of the

departments has its own building containing laboratories, staff cubicles, lecture halls, classrooms, lecture halls, department libraries, etc., all connected by a continuous gallery that runs throughout the East.

Sports Facilities:-

Sports and Gaming Facilities include a soccer field, a cricket field with nets, 3 basketball courts, 3 grass tennis courts, 3 volleyball courts, 3 dirt volleyball courts, indoor badminton courts and other facilities. An outdoor badminton court, gymnasium, billiard room, chess room, jogging track, table tennis table and pool are planned for the future.

Central Library:-

Now known as the LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER (LRC), supports the Institute’s teaching and research programs and contains 156,314 print books, 3,073 e-books, 10,000 e-journals, international Magazines, technical publications, standards, CD-ROMs, and journals. In addition, it is connected to other library networks such as DELNET that enable students to access the libraries of 4697 other Indian and International Libraries. It spreads over a base area of 15,847m². leg. Services and processes within the library are fully digitized by a smart card system using RFID and Koha (software). Besides books, Wi-Fi and LAN services are provided.

 

 

Computer Center :-

Center has 10 computer labs. A data center with a private cloud was also set up in the center with VMWare V Cloud Suite 5 and 64 TB of EMC2 storage. A private cloud provides features for automatic provisioning of IT resources, a single interface for administrators across the IT infrastructure, and workload elasticity. it is taught by Dr. D. and MTech students.

 Gargi Hostel for Girls: –

MNIT hosts his MNIT Sports Tournament (MST) every year. The event is attended by students from Rajasthan and other parts of North India. MNIT also hosts Inter-NIT sports tournaments as part of the Inter-NIT Sports Association. The Institute is the West Zone Hub for the NBA JAM. National events include Neuron, Blitzschlag, Electronica, Moments, MST, Schrifftum, Taal and Zodiac.

Hostels:-

MNIT has 10 male and 2 female hostels with a capacity of approximately 3,000 students. The largest of them is the Aurobindo hostel with 950 single rooms. First-year students are assigned a triple room, and second-year students are assigned a single room. Most hostels are equipped with clutter. Students can use Wi-Fi, LAN, common room and sports facilities at the hostel. Dormitory fee for one semester is Rs. 32,000 (including hostess fee Rs. 20,000, room fee, electricity fee, utility fee Rs. 12,000)

MNIT Jaipur Cutoffs-

MNIT Jaipur Cutoffs are issued by relevant authorities such as JoSSa and CCMT Counseling. Candidates seeking admission to MNIT Jaipur should attend his JOSSA Consultation for BTech Admission. And GATE CCMT advice for MTech approval. During the counseling process, registered candidates will be assigned a place based on scores achieved on the JEE Main and GATE exams. Below are the MTech and BTech thresholds required for 2022 admission. The minimum qualification required for admission is 50% of the total previous proficiency test scores. At UG level, MNIT Jaipur accepts students based on JEE Main Rank followed by JoSSA Counseling. At PG level, MNIT Jaipur accepts students through her GATE, JAM, CAT/MAT followed by CCMT or CCMN counseling. If necessary, the Institute will also conduct an interview for her PG approval. Admission to MNIT Jaipur PhD is through an entrance exam and a series of interviews.

MNIT Jaipur Location:

MNIT Jaipur’s placement rate was 85% following the previous year’s (2021) record, with 131 leading companies visiting the MNIT campus. A total of 439 students participated in the placement campaign.
