University Campus, located in Kondakarakam Village, Vizianagaram District, has been identified as a transit campus to accommodate academic and administrative activities for the 2019-20 academic year, and CTUAP will relocate to a dedicated building in Leli Village after the building is completed.
The University was assigned Mentor University status. In 2019, the university was officially established by the Central University (Amendment) Act 2019.
In August 2020, Appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor of the University is TV Katimani.
As of January 2021, the final location of the university has yet to be determined.
The land identified at Kuntinnavalasa of Mentada Mandal was found satisfactory by the authorities, although this was not the only site proposed by the Commission, Pachipenta Mandal, Chinamedpally of Mentada Mandal, and Other locations in Dattirajeru, Marivalasa is being considered.
Governance –
The University is governed by the rules of the Central University Act 2009. The President of India attends college.
The rector is the ceremonial head of the university, and executive power rests with the rector.
The Court, University Council, Academic Council, Research Committee, and Finance Committee are administrative bodies of the University.
Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh –
The University Court is the supreme body of the university and has the power to review the general policies and programs of the university and to propose measures for the improvement and development of the university.
The University Council is the highest governing body of the University.
The Academic Council is the university’s premier academic body and is responsible for the coordination and general oversight of the university’s academic policy.
He has the right to advise the Board on all academic matters. The Finance Committee is responsible for recommending financial policies, targets, and budgets.
Academics-
CTUAP offers postgraduate, integrated, and diploma courses. The admission fee is through the online portal of the entrance examination conducted by the Central University Common Entrance Examination.
