About Rattan Professional Education College

Ratan Professional Education College was started in 1998 to provide excellent education and training and to facilitate rural communities to enhance their health status and in turn solve social, economic, and allied problems.

The Nursing Institute is situated on the outskirts of Chandigarh on 41140 square yards (8.5 acres) of land. The infrastructure of the Institute comprises six storied buildings equipped with modern facilities. There are spacious and airy classrooms on each floor.

At the end, we would like to say that Rattan Professional Education College, Sohana which was established in 1998 to impart education & improve Health status has achieved its goal & completed 10 years successfully in the field of education.

Most of our students, after completion of their course, have been employed in various leading hospitals / Education Institutes in India & Abroad. Now we are planning to upgrade the Institute to a Postgraduate level.

Facilities of Ratan Professional Education College

The laboratory section includes fundamentals of microbiology, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, maternal and child health (MCH laboratory), and community and nursing laboratory. The library of the institute is rich in literature, nursing journals (national and international) magazines,s and professional books.

Next to the library is a computer room with computer terminals for student use. Presently the institute has achieved the stage where the new multistoried building can accommodate at least 1000-1500 students.

Courses

The Institute offers an ANM/MPHW (F) two years duration, a General Nursing and Midwifery course (GNM) of three years duration, B.Sc. Provides courses. provides. Nursing (Post Basic) two years duration and B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) of four years duration, and M Sc Nursing of two years duration in three specialties namely Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing.

 

Auxiliary Nurse & Midwives (Female) A.N.M

Duration Of Course: 3 years and 6 months.

Admission Criteria: 10+2 with any stream (Medical stream preferred)

Age limit: 17-35 years

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Examination:-

On compilation of practical experience, records to signed by the tutor and counter-signed by the principal

Minimum pass marks shall be 50 % in each of the theory and practical papers separately.

A candidate must have a minimum of 80% attendance ( Irrespective of the kind of absence ) in theory and practical in each subject for appearing for the examination.

A candidate must have 100 % attendance in each of the practical areas before the award of the Degree/ completion certificate.

Age Limit: 17-35 Years.

A candidate has to pass theory and practical exams separately in each of the paper
