IIIT Kota is a joint venture of the Ministry of Education (MoE) Govt. of India and Govt. of Rajasthan with Industry Partners in Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode.
Currently, the institute is mentored by Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (MNIT Jaipur) and is situated at MNIT Jaipur. The main site of IIIT, Kota shall be constructed at Ranpur near Kota on 100.37 acres of land made available by the Govt. of Rajasthan. The institute is governed by the eminent personalities of the Government, Industry, and Academia.
IIITK is a renowned technology institute that provides interdisciplinary courses in information technology and social sciences. Its unique education model has attracted students from diverse academic backgrounds.

1. Establishment: IIIT Kota was established in the year 2013 as an autonomous institution. It operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
2. Location: IIIT Kota is situated in Kota, a city in the state of Rajasthan, India. Its location provides a conducive environment for academic pursuits and research.
3. Academic Programs: IIIT Kota offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various branches of computer science and information technology. At present, IIIT Kota is making use of the facilities provided by its mentor institute (MNIT Jaipur) as it does not have its own building yet. However, the institute’s permanent campus in Ranpur, near Kota, has already had its boundary wall erected and trees planted.
The institute has planned the development of various facilities, including the director’s office, conference hall, accounts, and establishment block, academic block with lecture theatres, labs and faculty offices, seminar hall for over 200 people, computer center, library, workshop, storage area, boys’ and girls’ hostels, guest house, director and staff residences, transit accommodation, and other projects like rainwater harvesting systems, sewerage treatment plants, and overhead tanks.
These developments will be carried out in phases as funds become available from both the central and state governments. The institute is currently working closely with the relevant authorities to secure the necessary funding.

10. Medical Facilities
A full-fledged Dispensary is available on the campus. It is supervised by a residential Medical Officer and two Compounders. The services of a part-time allopathic Doctor and a Lady Doctor are also available to students and to the family members of the staff.
