• Graduate nurses will be knowledgeable, possess clear critical thinking skills, and be caring, proactive, assertive, disciplined, and responsive to the changing needs of the profession, health care delivery systems, and society.
• Registered nurses will assume the role of professional and qualified nurses and midwives, providing promotional, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health care in a hospital or public health facility.
• Ability to make independent decisions about nursing situations in practice, protect the rights of individuals and groups, conduct research, and apply evidence-based practice in nursing practice.
• They will serve as practitioners, teachers, supervisors, and managers in clinical or public health settings.
About the program Objectives
Upon completion of the program, the nurse will be able to:
• Demonstrate the ability to use nursing processes to provide health care to sick and healthy people.
• Assess a client’s care needs from birth to death.
• Plan and take appropriate action to meet nursing needs.
• Provide effective care to maintain health in all aspects.
• Promote personal care for those involved in their care.
• Apply problem-solving skills in nursing practice
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care.
• Participation as a member of a health team in the provision of curative, preventive, promotional, and rehabilitative health care services.
• Demonstrate basic management and leadership skills while working with the health team and another member of the community.
After GNM course-
• Licensed practical nurses will become registered nurses
• Graduate nurses will be able to assume the responsibilities of qualified nurses and midwives, providing promotional care, preventive, curative, and health services in hospitals, communities, and all services of health establishments.
• Registered nurses will work as teachers, supervisors, researchers, and administrators in all healthcare settings.
Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M) Qualifications
• 10+2 English and have achieved a minimum of 40% on the qualifying exam and the separate English exam from any accredited board. Applicants are also eligible for admission to state government-recognized state schools and centrally-recognized National Institutes of Government Schools (NIOS).
However, science is preferable.
• English 10+2 with 40% marks in professional ANM courses in Indian Council of Nursing accredited schools.
• English 10+2 with a mark of 40% in occupational health sciences from a recognized CBSE board/center.
• ANM registered with a pass mark.
Bookings:
• For Applicants with Disabilities: 3% Applicants with 40% to 50% lower extremity motor impairment will be considered a disabled booking and other age-related eligibility criteria will be the same as those specified for each applicant nursing program.
NOTE: A committee must be formed, consisting of a physician licensed by the state medical board and a nurse, who can determine if an applicant has a 40% to 50% motor impairment.
• 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
• Any other quota imposed by the state government. According to the reservation policy.
NOTE: Quotas will be included in approved seats, not above.
• Student registration takes place every year.
• Students must be in good health.
• The minimum course admission age is 17 years. (As of December 31 this year) The upper age limit is 35 years.
Admission Process
Students also download the application form from the University website and submit it along with the relevant documents to the Information Center of the University.
They can also approach the Information Center on the University Campus with relevant documents for counseling and other admission procedures.
The application form and prospectus are available at the office of Mahadevi Birla Institute of Nursing and Clinical Technology for a cash payment of Rs.
500/-.
The application form has to be filled out by the applicant himself. Please fill in the details as per your High School Diploma.
The information provided in the application form must be correct, any false information may result in disqualification.
The completed application form should be submitted to the office at Rs 200/- for an entrance examination.
Attach the following to your completed application:
Copies of Grade 10 (Matrix) and 10+2 test scores or equivalent, recognition cards, and certificates.
Two passport-size color photographs
Applicants attached photocopies of the following certificates/documents.
Matrix score sheets, certificates, and admission tickets.

Two photos of each visiting family member (maximum three people)
