What is a Master in Horticulture-
• The MSc in Horticulture is one of the most awarded graduate programs in plant science.
• It deals with the science of growing plants and the process of preparing the ground for planting seeds, tubers, and cuttings.
• This course also covers the topics of plant propagation, plant cultivation, plant breeding, plant breeding, genetic engineering, plant biochemistry, and plant physiology.
• This program provides in-depth knowledge of plant harvesting and growing vegetables, management and processing, storage, and packaging.

M.Sc Horticulture Admission Process –
Admission to the MSc in Horticulture is primarily based on scores in entrance examinations administered by admission agencies.
However, some universities offer admission based solely on grades obtained upon graduation (merit-based).
Admission forms for the Masters in Horticulture for each faculty are published in May/June. However, due to the COVID-19 crisis, the dates for this school year have been postponed.
Admission to Masters in Horticulture is based solely on merit in most colleges /universities.
Consider the performance of the candidate for admission to the qualifying examination (bachelor’s degree or any equivalent qualification).
Students must meet the following criteria to be admitted to any faculty as an M.Sc. Horticulture:-
• Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science degree, eg in Agriculture, Horticulture, Botany, Biotechnology, or a related program from a recognized university.
• The candidate must have obtained between 50 and 60% of marks in his diploma of higher studies.
• General science students can also apply for the MS Horticulture, provided that they must study two additional semesters to obtain certain course-related information.
• Reserved categories are not particularly relaxed.
