NEET
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (undergraduate) or NEET (UG), formerly All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) is Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS) or Dentistry (BDS) and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) India courses for government and private institutions, and for those seeking basic medical qualifications abroad.
Testing will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and results will be sent to the Department of Health and Family Welfare’s Directorate General of Health Services and the State Advisory Board to assign seats.
NEET-UG has superseded the All India Premedical Examination (AIPMT) conducted by states and various medical colleges. However, it was unable to run in 2014 and 2015 due to lawsuits against the test.
NEET UG is one of the most comprehensive exams in India in terms of registered applicants.
NEET-UG is a single entrance exam for admission to MBBS and BDS universities across India.

Introduction-
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), now known as the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI), has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustaining premier testing. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) has been administered by the National Tax Agency for admission to basic medical training since 2019 with the approval of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (O.M. Eligibility Criteria-

Exam Schedule-
OBC-NCL (Other Subclass)-NCL (Non-Creamy Stratum) follows the Central List of Other Subclasses available from the National Board on Subclasses. Candidates falling into this list (available at http://www.ncbc.nic.in/ ) can mention OBC-NCL in the category column. National OBC-NCL candidates who are not on the OBC-NCL (Central List) should select General.
